Bloom breaks up this visual monotony with its eye-catching flared organic shape. It grabs the viewer’s gaze & breaks the mold of a typical kitchen appliance while also serving as a piece of art. In addition to being a range hood that can recirculate steam and odors into clean filtered air, Bloom also illuminates the cooktop surface doubling as an elegant lighting solution.
In a setting where appliances exude little visual excitement, Bloom offers simple intuitive functionality while demanding to be noticed.
Form Inspiration
The aesthetic strategy for Bloom was to stay away from monotonous geometric forms which already dominate the kitchen space… So no more boxes! The form was inspired from the organic shapes in nature, particularly the bulbous shapes of flowers, which are naturally curvaceous and instinctively draw our eyes to them.
